HR Payroll Specialist (Workday Payroll) in Hastings, MN

Are you a payroll professional who knows Workday Payroll inside and out? We're looking for a detail-oriented HR Payroll Specialist to join a growing team and take ownership of accurate, compliant payroll processing while serving as a trusted resource for employees and business partners.

What You'll Do:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll in Workday, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, and department leaders to ensure employee data changes are updated correctly and reflected in payroll.
  • Review payroll data, identify discrepancies, and proactively resolve issues before payroll is finalized.
  • Audit timecards, earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefit elections to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Respond to employee payroll questions with professionalism, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service.
  • Support payroll audits, reporting, year-end processing, and continuous improvement initiatives within Workday.

What We're Looking For:

  • Hands-on Workday Payroll experience (required)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll tax regulations, and wage & hour compliance
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for improving payroll processes and leveraging Workday best practices

Additional Details:

  • Pay: $30-$35/hour ($62,400-$72,800 annually) depending on experience
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Location: 100% onsite in Hastings, MN
  • Type: Direct Hire with benefits
